Freedom International School – Africa (formerly Children in Freedom Schools) is proud to be an IB World School authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) — and is preparing for the Diploma Programme (DP).
As an IB World School, we are part of a prestigious global community of schools united by a shared commitment to high-quality, inquiry-based, and internationally minded education that develops caring, reflective, and globally engaged learners.
About the IB
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a globally respected leader in international education, developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and compassionate young people who are equipped to make meaningful contributions to an ever-changing world.
IB programmes empower students to take ownership of their learning, build essential skills for life and work, and embrace global citizenship. More than just an academic qualification, the IB experience cultivates students who are multilingual, empathetic, and future-ready.
At the heart of every IB programme is the IB Learner Profile, which nurtures young people to become thinkers, communicators, risk-takers, and principled leaders—well-prepared to thrive in diverse contexts across the world.
The IB Mission
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to build a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
Through partnerships with schools, governments, and global organizations, the IB offers academically rigorous programmes that challenge students to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who recognize that others, with their differences, can also be right.
